This is a unique prestige vessel. A wonderfully bizarre object from the Bamileke tribe of Cameroon. Features a gourd shape that has been exaggerated with a carved wooden extension to the neck and aperture. Colourful wire is woven in a neat sheath around the gourd shape. With graphic patterns delineated in different warm coloured wire. There is a wire repair to the sheath on the neck, shown in the photos. In solid condition. We guarantee this item has been tribally used. Width approx 45cm.
